what it is

neomod is the McOsu to neosu to neomod lineage of osu! client, GPL-3, with its own engine: a features client, not a cheat client. Everything it adds is declared to the server in the open, and fishy supports it fully rather than tolerating it.

what fishy speaks

backend 5.3.82 · pp formula v1

protocol 128: The handshake at login: neomod unlocks all of its mods and any custom speed for fishy, and they submit as ordinary scores.
score submission: Switched on by the server at login (x-mcosu-features: submit=1), so there is nothing to type in the console.
mod side channel: Every score records its real mod state from the neomod-mods part, which a plain scores table cannot hold; a Mafham score and a nomod score are different rows here.
leaderboard mods token: Other neomod players see those mods on the in-game leaderboard through the 17th token their client reads.
websocket: A live socket at wss://c.fishy.moe/ws/ replaces the 1 to 5 second poll; a browser build can log in too.
REQUEST_MAP: A map fishy lacks is fetched from the player who has it (packet 132), pinned by md5, so no score sits at 0pp for want of a file.
Team filter: The fifth leaderboard filter in song select works, backed by fishy clans.
labels, not bans: Nothing is flagged, restricted, hidden or scored differently on the main board: fishy labels, it does not punish. The neomod board prices your overrides; the Fishyboard keeps legacy pp.
