Every bit of data and every service listed below exists for one reason: to keep fishy.moe running and to make it better. No ill intentions, no hidden agendas, no resale. Three small services help me understand traffic and fix what breaks. They are described below, and you can opt out of session-replay tracking with one click.
PurposeA nostalgic visitor counter that shows me which countries the site reaches.
CapturesPage visits and an approximate country flag from your IP. On most pages the pixel is 1×1 and hidden off-screen; on this page it's rendered full-size below so you can see exactly what it reports.
PurposeAnonymized heatmaps, click maps, and session replay so I can see which parts of the UI work and which confuse people. No personally identifying input is captured.
CapturesPage visits, scroll position, clicks, and mouse movement. Form fields, passwords, and any input marked sensitive are automatically masked by Clarity before the replay leaves your browser.
CookiesYes, first-party and clarity.ms.

Your osu! account
fishy.moe is also an osu! private server. If you register to play, that account is the one bit of data here that is actually about you, so here is exactly what it holds:
Username and a hashed password (bcrypt over an MD5 digest, the osu! protocol's scheme, never stored in plaintext).
Your play data: scores, replays, and profile stats, so leaderboards and your profile work.
No email is required or collected, and fishy sends no email of any kind.
This lives in the game server's database, separate from the website analytics above, and exists only to run the game. It is never sold or shared. Want yours removed? Ask in Discord.
How long it sticks around
Each provider controls its own retention window; the exact numbers live in each one's privacy policy linked above. Short version:
Microsoft Clarity: session replays roll off on Microsoft's schedule and are not exported off Clarity.
Plausible: only aggregated counters are stored. No per-user record exists to retain in the first place.
FlagCounter: aggregate per-country visit totals only. No per-visit records.
Nginx access logs: kept on the pod for the log-rotation window for crash triage, then rotated out. Not exported to any analytics store.
Game accounts: kept for as long as the account exists, so your profile and scores persist between sessions. Removed on request.
What we don't do
No ads, no ad networks, no ad-targeting cookies.
No Google Analytics.
No selling or sharing of data beyond the three services above.
No marketing emails. fishy doesn't send email at all.
No tracking that follows you across other sites.
Get in touch
For anything privacy-related, including asking what (if anything) is tied to your visits, or requesting that your account or any Clarity session replay from your device be cleared.
No ads means fishy.moe runs on what I pay out of pocket. The live monthly upkeep, the same breakdown shared across the network, is published in full on the Vote or Boost Discord page. It covers mirror.hinamizawa.ai, hinamizawa.ai, kawata.pw, and fishy.moe together, not fishy.moe alone.
To be clear, fishy.moe doesn't need donations. I cover it myself: my freelance work on real-world projects pays the bill. The live card is on the Vote or Boost Discord page, there for transparency and nothing more.
